Christmas Presents

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas day.

I'm having a hard time deciding which of the many pictures we took to post - so I'm going to document Christmas '08 in stages.

This post is all about Anna's favorite presents. In the weeks leading up to Christmas A showed absolutely no interest in opening presents. I was worried she wasn't going to care about Christmas at all. She never got real excited about unwrapping, but she did finally get into swing of gifts. This giant puppy got her got her interested.

A baby doll, cleaning set, letters, giraffe, and instruments were all also big hits!

Trip to WV

A couple of weekends ago, we went to WV to see Kevin's family.  We had a very nice trip, although travel was a bit rough.  We did buy Anna a DVD player, so she was cool watching Elmo's World about 20 times.  What is it about Elmo?  It's like a drug for her.  She never gets tired of it. We spent some time shopping and visiting with family.

Here's a photo of Anna visiting with Santa Claus.  They had a really nice set up at the Town Center Mall.  Anna was not feeling it though.

After she got off Santa's lap, they had some reindeer hats nearby. We stuck one on Anna's head and she then proceeded to march into the adjacent jewelry store and throw the hat down in a fit of anger. We had to laugh.

Here's a picture of us at Aunt Norma's house. I think Anna just said something funny. That happens a lot lately.

Turkey Day

I'm way behind on blogging - I have some wedding pictures and snowsuit pictures to post. But I figure I'll start at the most recent. We had a very lovely yummy turkey day.

The joys of good food and conversation were lost on Anna though - she ate some grapes and then watched Sesame Street while everyone else ate.

The joys of pumpkin pie were not lost on Anna though - she was a particular fan of whipped cream.

Here's some of the gang looking at Matt and Jess' wedding photos.

Playing some games after dinner. We played Backseat Drawing and Pass the Pigs two very good party games.
